Sponsor a Student

Esther is 20. She is the daughter of a pastor of one of the local churches in Kitagwenda. Her father cannot pay for school for Esther because he has many children he is caring for. Since Esther is the oldest, her father has requested that she leave school so that her other siblings could attend. Esther is now in senior 5. She enjoys Mathematics and Biology. She would like to become a nurse.

Jabel is 21. His father is struggling with kidney failure and Jabel is suffering from sickle cell disease. He is looking for someone to help him pay for his schooling so that he can achieve his future dream and treat sick people like him. He is now in senior 3 and he likes studying Biology and chemistry. He wants be a surgeon after his studies. 

Amon is 21. His family cannot afford to pay for his schooling because they are struggling to take care of his sister who has a heart disease. He is now in senior 3 and he enjoys Physics and computer studies class. He wants to be a software engineer and help his parents and other siblings.

Dinavence is 20. She is an orphan and lives with her uncle. Her family is poor and they migrated to Uganda from Rwanda to escape the rebels. She is now in senior 3 and she enjoys biology, chemistry and math. She obtained an excellent grade on her recent exams. She would like to be a cardiologist. 

Jonath is 15. His parents are pastors in a local church. They struggle to provide for him. He is in senior 3 and he likes studying Biology and chemistry. He wants to become a doctor.

Edson is 19. He lost both of his parents and he is now staying with his aunt who cannot afford to pay for his schooling. He enjoys Physics and Mathematics classes. He wants to become a mechanical engineer. 

Daphine is 22. Her father abandoned her family. Her mother is a pastor in one of the local churches. She is now in senior 2 and she enjoys biology and chemistry. She is always the best in her class. Daphine wants to be a nurse. 

Amos is 16. His father died when he was 8 years old. He wants to become a doctor and treat people like his mother who has sickle cell disease. He enjoys Biology and Chemistry. 

Godwish is 19. His parents are separated and he is staying with his grandmother who is very poor. He is in senior 2 and is the best in his class. His favorite subjects are Physics and Chemistry. He plans to be a petroleum engineer.

Elvin is 20. He was abandoned by his parents, and he is now staying with his grandmother who cannot afford to pay for his schooling. His dream is to become a good gospel artist. He likes singing and he trains his fellow students how to dance and compose songs . Elvin is now in senior 3. 

Jabel is 21. He is an orphan. He lost his father when he was 3 months old and his mother died in 2022, and he is now staying with his older sister who is looking after all the children. Jabel is among the best performing students in class. He is in senior 4 and his favorite subjects are physics and fine art. At the end of this year he will be doing his final exams to acquire a Uganda certificate of education. His dream is to be an Engineer. 

Bridget is 14. Both parents were killed in the recent ADF attacks in Kamwenge. Her father was a pastor. She would like to become a lawyer. 

Linnet is 15. She is an orphan who lost her mother two years ago and was abandoned by her father.   Her grandmother cannot afford to take care of her. Linnet wants to become a social worker.

Safrah is 19. She lost her father 3 years ago because of an accident, and she is now living with her mother who is lame. Safrah likes playing both netball and soccer. She is in senior 4 and she wants to become an Agriculture officer. 

Promise is 21. Her father was killed by strangers when he was working in the field. Promise’s mother who is lame and her left hand is crippled. She is in Senior 4 and she likes studying Agriculture and Physics . She wants to be a mechanical engineer or Vent- doctor.

Joanah is 21. She was abandoned by her mother. Joanah was picked up on the road side by someone who she is now staying with. She is in Senior 3. She enjoys Fine Art and History classes and she wants to become an art designer.

Jimmy is 21. His parents are very poor so they cannot afford to pay for his schooling. He is now in senior 6 (Advanced Level) studying physics, mathematics and Economics. He is always the best in the science class and he wants to be a civil Engineer majoring in construction of roads and railway lines.

Ivan is 19. His father died from brain cancer. His mother cannot afford to pay for his schooling. Ivan is in Senior 4 and his favorite subjects are Biology and computer studies. He wants to become a software engineer in the future.

Favor is 16. Her father abandoned her and her siblings.  She grew up trying to survive by looking for work so she could eat. A Good Samaritan picked her and helped her go through primary level where she did well. They have recently had to stop due to low income. She would like to become a secondary (high school) teacher.

Balaam is 22. He is an orphan who lost his father when he was 8 years old. Since then, he has had to help with his 5 siblings. His family is very poor. Balaam performed very well in Senior 4 last year. He likes playing soccer and his favorite subjects are biology and fine art. He wants to be an accountant after his studies so that he can take care of his siblings.

Amos is 20. Both of his parents died from AIDS and he is now staying with his grandmother who cannot afford to pay for his schooling. He is in Senior 3. He enjoys Agriculture and he wants to be a veterinary doctor after his studies.

Alleluia is 16. Both parents are HIV positive and are very poor. Alleluia wants to become a nurse after her studies.

Linnet is 16. She was born Muslim but after joining secondary school she accepted Jesus and her family abandoned her. She was chased from home and is now staying with her aunt who cannot afford to pay for her schooling. She is in Senior 3 and her favorite subjects are English and literacy. She wants to become an English teacher after her studies.
